Dual-Language Education

Dual language is a form of bilingual education in which students are taught literacy and content in two languages. Dual language programs foster bilingualism, bi-literacy, enhanced awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity, and high levels of academic achievement through instruction in two languages. Parent Organization (GISCPO)
Every parent/guardian is automatically a member of the German lnternational School Chicago Parent Organization (GISC Parent Organization). Its purpose is:
  • to enhance and support the educational experience at GISC;
  • to establish and maintain a working relationship among parents, school (teachers, administrators, and GISC Board)
