Today Is Annual Fund Giving Day!

Dear GISC Families and Friends of GISC,

Thank you to everyone who has made growing the German International School Chicago possible. Without your support, we would not be where we are today. And where we are today is VERY exciting! We have a growing middle school program, a hopefully very soon to be officially recognized and authorized IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), and an award winning preschool program! We have established all of this in less than ten years!

The video below highlights who we are and what we offer, which includes empowering our students to express themselves (in multiple languages), letting them know that their points of view matter, and giving them creative outlets.

As GISC has grown, so have our expenses. Tuition alone does not pay for our current expenses. Our school counts on gifts to the Annual Fund to pay for the costs to provide the education available at German International School Chicago. Gifts of all sizes matter! And gifts today matter the most.

If all GISC friends and families give or pledge by the end of Giving Day a total of $50,000, the Robert Bosch Tool Corporation will donate $5,000 to GISC. Please help us reach this goal by taking a moment to make a gift or pledge right now in any of the following ways:

1) Click on the yellow “Donate” button below to make a donation via PayPal or with a debit or credit card.

2) Send a pledge card and/or check to our school at 1447 W Montrose Ave, Chicago, IL 60613, made out to “German International School Chicago”. While not required, please also email us at to let us know that the check and/or pledge card are in the mail, so we can count them towards our Giving Day goals.

3) Make a pledge by sending an email to

Also, please remember that i9Sports will offer one free sports season to the givers of the two largest donations received by 10:00 am today. i9 Sports offers soccer, flag football, basketball, and baseball.

No matter the size of your donation, it will have an impact on our students this school year. Please see below the video for examples of what donations can provide our students.

Thank you again for all of your support! We look forward to making this Giving Day a success! Stay tuned on our Facebook page for updates on our progress throughout the day.
