German International School Chicago (GISC) is an independent, not-for-profit, dual-language school. GISC is a Provisional Member of the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS), is recognized as a DSD-School by the German ZfA (Central Agency for Schools Abroad), and is an official PASCH Partner School. GISC is also a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme and is pursuing authorization as an IB World School.

GISC’s curriculum is taught mainly in German with a multi-cultural approach. GISC welcomes students of all backgrounds and nationalities. Students learn in a supportive, intimate, individualized environment that nurtures curiosity and creativity and fosters global awareness. GISC students  fluent in German and English  will become well-rounded, responsible global citizens. More


Preschool, ages 3-4: Part-Day (8:30 am to 1:00 pm); Full-Day (8:30 am to 3:00 pm)

Kindergarten: Full-Day (8:30 am to 3:00 pm)

Elementary School (Grades 1-5): 8:30 am to 3:00 pm

Before/After School Care: Before (7:30 am to 8:30 am); After (3:00 pm to 6:00 pm)
