Dear GISC Families,
We look forward to hosting the 2025 State-of-School/Membership Meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 28 beginning at 6:30 p.m. For your convenience, we are providing childcare services. Please rsvp both for the presentation and childcare here.
Presenters include two alumni, one enrolled at our partnership school, the
Lycee Francais de Chicago, ranked among the Top 5 private high schools in Illinois by niche.com; and the other enrolled at
Jones College Prep, a Chicago selective enrollment public high school ranked among the Top 5 high schools in Illinois by US News & World Report. You may also expect to hear from our trustees, faculty and staff members. The evening will conclude with a presentation by our
Treasurer on the 2025/26 GISC Budget followed by a membership vote to approve a motion to accept the 25/26 Budget as presented. Please
see this financial presentation as a pre-read to help you make an informed voting decision. The entire evening serves the purpose to inform you about the state of our school including information regarding our status as a DAS School, the ongoing search for a Director, our academic program, and our school finances.
We will also share a summary of the
2025 Parent Survey – if you haven’t done so already, please take the time to submit your parent responses in this survey which will close on Sunday (Jan. 26) night. Thank you for your participation.
Following this presentation, we plan to mail the 2025/26 re-enrollment contracts on February 3 with a contract return date of Sunday, February 23rd. The 2025/26 tuition rate for Preschool full day is $20,900; Preschool part day is $17,400; for Kindergarten - 8th grade, the tuition rate is $21,740.
The timely return of these contracts will result in two potential tuition reduction measures for qualified families: a) $500 GISC loyalty reduction for students who have been enrolled at GISC for four full years; and b) an expansion of the 2nd child tuition reduction from the customary $1,000 to $1,500. For every additional sibling, the tuition is reduced by one-third of the full rate.
We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday and thank you for your support.
Best regards,
Ben Hebebrand
GISC Director
