Expressing Gratitude for the Holiday Magic

Weekly Update from the Director - December 6, 2024
As we are about to enter the holiday and home stretch of 2024, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your support of our school. Wednesday’s opening of the new playground was one of the most delightful days I have witnessed in schools – students lining up to enter the transformed space and sprinting toward new play elements designed to engage and challenge our students.  Yes, there was real joy, real awe, and real appreciation for what we as a school community have achieved.

My favorite visual was that of two second grade girls walking hand-in-hand along two separate tree logs at different heights with complete and utter support for each other. “You can do this! Du schaffst es.” Your generous donations have created a better world (a better daily experience) for our students; and frankly, your support also helps us present a better school to future families joining our school. Thank you!

Wednesday also came on the heels of Giving Tuesday – your support is inspiring. With significant participation by our parents in supporting the annual GISC fund, I can only tell you how much your support means to me personally – your support is energizing and rewarding. Please accept – on behalf of Team GISC – my sincere gratitude for your generosity. A great holiday gift – I daresay great holiday magic. Thank you!

In two weeks time, we hope to see all of you at our annual holiday concert. Please meet with us at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 20 for a morning cup of coffee and then walk with us around the corner to the nearby Church, where our preschool through 8th grade students will delight us all with song and cheer.

Wishing you a fantastic weekend,

Ben Hebebrand
