GISC 100 Days of School – Insights, Presentations, and Future Plans

Weekly Update from the Director – January 26, 2024
Dear GISC Community,

As we approach the 100th day of this school year, I want to thank our parent community for entrusting the care and education of your children to all of us who have the privilege of working at GISC. In this newsletter, you will find the required information for the 2024-2025 school year and re-enrollment contracts.

Prior to the return contract deadline of Monday, February 19, 2024, we are offering three GISC events in an effort to give you an overview of what next school year will hold in store.

  • January 31, 8:30 am GISC Insight – Transitioning from Preschool to Kindergarten: What to expect as your child literally moves up – to the second floor. Intended Audience: Preschool Parents. Please RSVP here so that we can prepare a room of adequate size.
  • February 7, 8:30 am (in person) and 7:30 pm (online) State-of-the-School Presentation: You will hear from the Board of Trustees and School Director as well as educational and administrative leaders. Intended Audience: The entire school community. Please find detailed information below.
  • February 9, 8:30 am GISC Insight – Entering Middle School: What to expect as your child enters 5th grade and beyond. Learn about the new IB Middle Years Program (MYP) and our curriculum. Intended Audience: 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade parents.

Your continued commitment to enrolling your children at GISC is remarkable – you can expect from us a continued commitment to bilingualism, international education with a school wide IB program, global citizenship, and a sense of community within the classroom and throughout the school.

All the best,
Ben
