Library

Welcome to the GISC Library

Our international library offers more than 8,000 print resources for all age groups in the curricular languages, mainly in German, but also in English, Spanish, and French. The collections also include audiobooks, DVDs, games and puzzles.

A center equipped for schoolwork as well as recreational reading, the library is available to students, staff, and the GISC community, and provides flexible learning areas for classes and extracurricular programs, while also hosting school community events such as the yearly Scholastic book fair.

Library Mission

The mission of the GISC library is to provide an inviting, dynamic environment and services that encourage literacy, develop research skills, and support the GISC curriculum, while encouraging an understanding and appreciation of diversity through multicultural collections.

The GISC library seeks to create a 21st Century learning environment with equitable access to all students, staff, and community members, which supports and inspires critical thinking and life-long learning to empower students with the skills and knowledge to adapt and thrive in an ever-changing global environment.

GISC Community Involvement

Families are welcome to use our lending services and check out items from the library collection.

All parents are welcome to join our group of library volunteers and assist in the maintenance of our library collection, and during special events such as book fairs.
